Agricultural modernization and facility agriculture are developing rapidly, and heating equipment plays a crucial role in agricultural production. Cartridge heaters, with their advantages of small size, high efficiency and easy installation, are widely used in various agricultural equipment and facilities, such as greenhouse heating, seed germination boxes, livestock and poultry breeding equipment, agricultural water heaters and feed drying equipment, providing a stable temperature environment for agricultural production. This article introduces the application scenarios and selection points of cartridge heaters in the agricultural field.

In facility agriculture, greenhouse heating is an important application scenario of cartridge heaters. Especially in cold winter and early spring, greenhouses need heating to maintain the temperature required for crop growth. Cartridge heaters are installed in the greenhouse's hot air circulation system and soil heating pipes, providing uniform heating for the greenhouse, promoting crop photosynthesis and growth, and improving crop yield and quality. The heater has fast heating speed and high thermal efficiency, and can quickly raise the greenhouse temperature after starting up, combined with a temperature control system, to achieve automatic constant temperature control, saving labor and energy costs.

Seed germination and seedling raising equipment also rely on cartridge heaters for constant temperature heating. Seed germination has strict requirements for temperature and humidity, and the cartridge heater is installed in the seed germination box and seedling raising bed to maintain a constant temperature between 25-35°C, ensuring fast and neat germination of seeds, improving the germination rate and survival rate of seedlings. The heater heats uniformly, no local overheating, avoids damaging seeds and seedlings, and is safe and reliable.

Livestock and poultry breeding equipment, such as constant temperature incubators, chick brooders and breeding room heating systems, use cartridge heaters. Newborn livestock and poultry have weak cold resistance and require a constant warm environment. The cartridge heater provides stable heating for the breeding equipment, controls the temperature within the suitable range for livestock and poultry growth, prevents diseases caused by low temperature, and improves the survival rate of young livestock and poultry. The heater used in breeding equipment has certain moisture resistance and corrosion resistance, to withstand the humid and corrosive gas environment in the breeding house.

Agricultural water heaters and irrigation water heating equipment also use cartridge heaters. In cold seasons, heating irrigation water to a suitable temperature can avoid crop root damage caused by low-temperature water, promote nutrient absorption, and help crop growth. The cartridge heater is immersed in the water tank or installed in the irrigation pipeline to heat the irrigation water quickly and uniformly, with high heating efficiency and easy installation. In addition, feed drying and processing equipment uses cartridge heaters for low-temperature drying, keeping the nutrients of the feed from being damaged, and improving the quality of the feed.

The cartridge heaters used in agricultural equipment have special performance requirements. First, moisture resistance and corrosion resistance. The agricultural environment is mostly humid, with corrosive gases and impurities, so the heater needs good sealing and corrosion resistance, generally adopting 316L stainless steel sheath and metal welding sealing to avoid moisture and corrosion damage. Second, energy saving and high efficiency. Agricultural production has low energy costs, requiring the heater to have high thermal efficiency, low power consumption, and save operating costs. Third, simple structure and easy maintenance. Agricultural equipment has low maintenance conditions, requiring the heater to be firm and durable, not easy to damage, and easy to install and replace. Fourth, safe and non-toxic, no harmful substances generated during heating, to avoid affecting crop growth and livestock and poultry health.

When selecting cartridge heaters for agricultural equipment, choose appropriate power and size according to the heating area and temperature requirements. For greenhouse and breeding house heating, choose medium and low power, uniform heating heaters; for seed germination boxes and small equipment, choose small-size, mini heaters. Prioritize products with good moisture resistance and corrosion resistance, and equip with a temperature control device to achieve automatic constant temperature and avoid energy waste and overheating damage.

In the daily use of agricultural cartridge heaters, pay attention to moisture-proof and anti-corrosion, regularly clean the surface dust and impurities, check the sealing performance and circuit connection, and replace aging and damaged heaters in time. Since the agricultural environment is relatively harsh, choosing high-quality agricultural-specific cartridge heaters can extend service life, reduce maintenance times, and provide a stable heating guarantee for agricultural production.

With the continuous development of modern agriculture and facility agriculture, the demand for cartridge heaters in the agricultural field will continue to increase. Energy-saving, durable and agricultural-specific cartridge heaters will be more widely used, helping to improve the level of agricultural production, increase crop yield and breeding efficiency, and promote the sustainable development of agricultural modernization.
