First of all, the misunderstanding that "the higher the wattage, the better" is the most common. Many users blindly pursue high wattage when selecting 230V cartridge heater, thinking that this can speed up the heating speed. In fact, the wattage of the cartridge heater should be matched with the volume of the heated object and the required heating time. If the wattage is too high, the local temperature of the heater will be too high, which will accelerate the aging of the resistance wire and the sheath, and even burn out the heater in serious cases. In addition, when the heater is not in use for a long time, it should be cut off the power supply and stored in a dry and ventilated place to avoid moisture entering the heater and affecting its insulation performance.
