Thermocouple wire welding is the core first process in thermocouple production, and the welding quality directly determines the thermoelectric performance, structural firmness and service life of finished thermocouples. The industry has three mature and standardized welding processes: electric welding, oxygen welding and argon arc welding. Among them, argon arc welding with argon gas protection is the most mainstream and high-quality production process, which is widely used in high-standard industrial thermocouple manufacturing.

Each welding process has its own technical characteristics and applicable scenarios. Electric welding has simple operation and low cost, suitable for ordinary low-precision civil thermocouple production; oxygen welding has fast welding speed but poor welding stability, easy to produce welding pores and uneven welding points, and is mostly used for temporary low-demand product processing; argon arc welding completely makes up for the defects of the first two processes. With argon gas isolation protection during welding, it can effectively prevent the welding joint from oxidation and high-temperature burning, ensuring the purity and compactness of the welding position.

The technical standards for qualified welding joints are extremely strict. The welding head of the positive and negative thermocouple wires after welding must be smooth and round, with no pores, no gaps, no virtual welding and no missing welding. The welding interface is fully fused, the structure is firm and compact, and there is no loose separation. High-quality welding joints can ensure stable thermoelectric signal transmission, avoid signal interruption and data fluctuation caused by welding defects, and at the same time improve the structural tensile resistance and high-temperature durability of the thermocouple, ensuring long-term stable use of the product.

The advantages of argon arc welding make it the preferred process for high-end industrial thermocouples. Argon gas forms a protective layer around the welding point during the welding process, isolating air and moisture, avoiding oxidation and carbonization of the metal wire at high temperature, and ensuring that the thermoelectric performance of the welding position is consistent with the body of the thermocouple wire. The welded finished product has uniform welding seam, beautiful appearance and stable performance, which fully meets the high-standard requirements of industrial long-term continuous operation.

Our factory implements strict welding process management, uniformly adopts argon arc welding with argon protection for industrial-grade thermocouples, and conducts 100% manual inspection of welding joints. All products eliminate welding defects such as pores and virtual welding, ensuring that each thermocouple has firm welding, stable signal and long service life. The standardized welding process is the primary guarantee for product high precision and high stability, and wins high recognition from global industrial customers.
