The Shenzhen factory was busy with the final quality inspection cartridge heaters for medical equipment. This batch of products will be shipped to California, USA, to provide core heating components for a world-leading medical equipment manufacturer, helping with the R&D and production of its new generation of medical testing equipment.
The medical industry has extremely harsh requirements for heating elements, which not only need extremely high temperature control accuracy, but also require absolute safety and reliability of products. "The U.S. customer's requirements for products meet medical-grade standards, with temperature control accuracy reaching ±0.5℃, insulation resistance ≥500MΩ, and withstand voltage strength ≥2000V/60s. At the same time, the products need to pass U.S. FDA certification and UL safety certification," said Dr. Wang, Technical Director.
To meet these strict requirements, we have set up a special R&D team to design and develop products according to the special needs of medical equipment. First of all, in terms of material selection, all parts in contact with the product are made of medical-grade stainless steel and insulation materials to ensure no harmful substances are released from the product, meeting the biocompatibility requirements of the medical industry. The heating wire is made of high-purity nickel-chromium alloy, treated with special technology, with extremely high resistance stability and a service life of more than 10,000 hours.
Secondly, in terms of structural design, a unique single-head sealing structure is adopted to prevent liquid and dust from entering the interior, improving the product's waterproof and dustproof level to IP67 standard. At the same time, the distribution of heating wires is optimized to make temperature distribution more uniform and reduce local overheating. To improve temperature control accuracy, each cartridge heater has a built-in high-precision thermocouple that can monitor temperature changes in real time and feed back to the control system to achieve closed-loop control.
During the production process, we have established a strict clean production environment with a workshop cleanliness level of 100,000, avoiding dust and impurities affecting product quality. All production equipment is made of stainless steel and regularly disinfected and maintained. Operators are required to wear anti-static clothing, gloves and masks to ensure products are not contaminated.
The quality inspection link is extremely strict. In addition to conventional resistance testing, insulation testing and withstand voltage testing, leakage current testing, biocompatibility testing and disinfection testing are added. Each product undergoes 100% leakage current testing to ensure that the leakage current is less than 0.1mA, meeting the safety standards of medical equipment. At the same time, 10% of the products are randomly selected for biocompatibility testing to ensure that the product does not cause allergic reactions when in contact with the human body.
"Medical equipment is related to the life safety of patients, and we must be responsible for each product," said Ms. Liu, Supervisor of Quality Control Department. "Our inspection standards are even stricter than those required by the U.S. FDA and UL, and only products that pass all tests can leave the factory."
To ensure that the products can successfully pass U.S. certification, we communicated with U.S. FDA and UL certification bodies in advance to understand certification requirements and testing standards, and made targeted improvements to the products. Finally, our products successfully passed all certifications and obtained a pass to enter the U.S. medical market.
In terms of packaging, sterile packaging is adopted. Each product is individually packed in a sterile bag and then put into a sealed carton to ensure that the product is not contaminated during transportation. At the same time, detailed product information and certification marks are printed on the packaging to facilitate customer acceptance and use.
"Being able to provide products for U.S. medical equipment giants is the greatest affirmation of our technical strength and product quality," said Mr. Zhang, General Manager. "This is not only an order, but also an important opportunity for us to enter the global high-end medical equipment market. We will continue to increase R&D investment to provide better and safer heating solutions for the medical industry."
This batch of products will be shipped to the United States by air on May 10 and is expected to arrive at the customer's factory on May 12. We will send technical engineers to the United States to assist customers in product installation and commissioning, and provide technical training and after-sales service.
