All 600 units are 120V, 100W, 6.35mm diameter by 100mm long, made from stainless steel 304, with a low watt density of 3W/cm² to ensure gentle, uniform heating for sensitive laboratory experiments. The heaters feature a special Teflon-coated surface to prevent contamination of the samples being heated, and are filled with high-purity magnesium oxide insulation to ensure stable performance at temperatures up to 300°C.
The institute is a leading research center for materials science in Canada, and conducts experiments on a wide range of materials, including polymers, ceramics, and metals. They needed heaters that could provide precise temperature control, with a tolerance of ±0.5°C, to ensure accurate results from their experiments. Our engineering team worked closely with the institute's researchers to design the heaters to meet their specific requirements, including the length of the cold zone and the type of lead wire connection.
